What we collect

• Account info (name, email, avatar) from your sign-in provider
• Votes, saves, and comments you create
• Reading signals (scroll position, dwell time) to personalize your feed
• Device type, browser language, and approximate location (country-level via Cloudflare)

What we do NOT collect

• Passwords (we use social sign-in and magic links only)
• Precise location or GPS data
• Data from other apps on your device
• Tracking cookies for advertising

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to personalize your feed, deliver features you use (saves, comments, digest emails), and improve txtfeed. We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool. No personal data is collected by our analytics. No cookies are set.

Third-party services

• Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, edge compute
• Vercel — hosting
• Turso — database
• Stripe — payment processing (Pro subscriptions)
• Resend — transactional email
• Google/Apple — authentication providers

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access your data — export all your data as JSON from your account settings
• Rectify your data — update your profile at any time
• Delete your data — one-click account deletion removes all your data within 30 days
• Port your data — download your data in a standard format
• Object to processing — contact us to opt out of personalization

Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. After deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymous reading signals are aggregated and cannot be linked back to you.
